Housekeeper

This active family is currently interviewing an Executive Housekeeper for a full-time, year-round Housekeeper position. The family lives here in Florida from the end of September until July generally. There is other staff in this formal home, who all work hard as a team and they are currently excited about bringing in another long-term team player. This is typically a five-day work week, Monday thru Friday, usually 9-5, but must also be available for the occasional shift changes if and when guests arrive. There are always two consecutive days off, but there is a rotating weekend schedule, so you must be available for some weekends during the season. Excellent housekeeping and organizational skills with solid knowledge of the care of fine finishes and surfaces. Must have excellent time management skills, an eye for detail, and knowledge of fine fabrics, wardrobe management with excellent laundry skills. Must be familiar with and experienced in working in an Estate home, with knowledge of treatment and handling of antiques, fine art, and furnishings. Comfortable uniforms will be provided and they would like this person to travel in the summer for a few weeks at a time, a couple of times through the summer...

This mature couple is looking for a very experienced Laundress/ Housekeeper to assist their Executive Housekeeper who has been with them for 20 years. This 7000 sq ft home is occupied by Mr and Mrs, and they do like the linen on the bed changed 5 days per week, and all sheets need to be pressed. Knowledge of a Miele Rotory Iron, Rowenta Steam Iron and Hand Steamer necessary. Additional duties include mopping the front foyer,and assisting the Executive Housekeeper with the remaining daily tasks. This active, mature couple is looking for a full time Housekeeper, with excellent laundry skills to work year round in their 14,000 sq ft home. They are snow birds, so it could be busy during the season, but summers are set aside for special projects and deep cleaning. There is a lot of home, but the two of them only use the downstairs generally. Between the Housemanager and the Chef, this person would have plenty of time to take care of all the daily graces and laundry. The home is kept meticulously neat and the successful candidate should be detailed oriented, conscientious, and efficient. This very busy family is looking for a hands on housekeeper/mothers helper to assist in the busy day of a growing family. First responsibilities include full time housekeeping, assisting the other housekeeper with maintaining the second floor and childrens bedrooms, making of the beds, detailing bathrooms. Laundry, ironing, folding of clothes and organizing all closets is a very important duty, while maintaining the remainder of the home to the highest standard. Cleaning of the kitchen area, pantry, outside pool area and kitchen and helping with kitchen duties necessary. Maintaining the pool area and cabana closet with pool towels and supplies, sunscreen, waters, drinks, etc. Disinfecting all surfaces, the toys in the playroom, and the bathrooms is a constant need. This is a Monday- Friday position, 8-5pm, and they can use a second person to work 5pm until 11 pm to help with dishes in the kitchen, laundry at the end of the day, and preparing fruits and the breakfast table for the morning. They do have a separate pool house for the Housekeeper, and they are looking for someone who can start at varied early times in the morning, and have a midday break and help with after school and dinner. A mature couple is looking for a live-in or live-out housekeeper/cook. Each year, this couple arrives in Palm Beach in November and stays through May. The apartment is large and perfectly appointed. Knowledge of proper care of antiques, crystal chandeliers, and fine linen is essential. Meals are not gourmet, but healthy family style cooking with the ability to follow a recipe, set the table, arrange flowers, and serve is expected. This could be a seasonal position, but the ideal candidate would travel to the family’s large country home in Connecticut and work for them forever. This very active, young and fun family is looking for a top notch head housekeeper for their home in Hobe Sound. The family spends winters and holidays at their home, and they do travel with a Chef and additional housekeeping staff, but they would prefer to have a working head housekeeper to set the standard for the other housekeepers, and oversee their duties. Someone who is very familiar with fine finishes and able to train and mentor the other staff would be very helpful. This person would co-ordinate with the Chef in regard to daily family meals, setting of the table, but would also be able to co-ordinate and following through on the lager dinner parties and detail involved in that. Shopping, errands, and an eye for detail is required. This is a fulltime, year round position in Florida, but that's not to say they could be some occasional travel to their other home or someone who would also be comfortable helping out on their M/Y when the boat is in Florida. This very large, 25,000 sq ft Estate Home in Miami is currently interviewing a full time, highly experienced Housekeeper to join this staff of 6. The Estate Manager, Chef, and other Housekeepers are looking for a very high energy person to join the team. Generally, the hours are 7am -5:30pm, a long day, but you are provide with uniforms, a proper lunch and respect from this almost retired couple who strive for perfection, but treat all of their long term staff with nothing but respect. One of their long term Housekeepers is retiring, so we are looking to replace her. Those are big shoes to fill. There are not a lot of guests, and the schedule rotates so everyone has weekends and Holidays off.
