Housekeeper

This very active, young and fun family is looking for a top notch head housekeeper for their home in Hobe Sound. The family spends winters and holidays at their home, and they do travel with a Chef and additional housekeeping staff, but they would prefer to have a working head housekeeper to set the standard for the other housekeepers, and oversee their duties. Someone who is very familiar with fine finishes and able to train and mentor the other staff would be very helpful. This person would co-ordinate with the Chef in regard to daily family meals, setting of the table, but would also be able to co-ordinate and following through on the lager dinner parties and detail involved in that. Shopping, errands, and an eye for detail is required. This is a fulltime, year round position in Florida, but that's not to say they could be some occasional travel to their other home or someone who would also be comfortable helping out on their M/Y when the boat is in Florida. This very large, 25,000 sq ft Estate Home in Miami is currently interviewing a full time, highly experienced Housekeeper to join this staff of 6. The Estate Manager, Chef, and other Housekeepers are looking for a very high energy person to join the team. Generally, the hours are 7am -5:30pm, a long day, but you are provide with uniforms, a proper lunch and respect from this almost retired couple who strive for perfection, but treat all of their long term staff with nothing but respect. One of their long term Housekeepers is retiring, so we are looking to replace her. Those are big shoes to fill. There are not a lot of guests, and the schedule rotates so everyone has weekends and Holidays off. Must love dogs, as the family loves their dogs and they are a very important part of their lives and day. Excellent laundry skills, including meticulous ironing is also a priority. This mature couple is looking for a live-in housekeeper/cook to work Monday through Saturday morning November through May in Palm Beach, and the summer season in their home outside of Greenwich Connecticut. Marketing, errands, and generally breakfast at 8:30 a.m. with the occasional lunch would be a typical day in the life. Preparing dinner two to three nights a week to be served at 7 p.m.; simple healthy clean cuisine. There is additional housekeeping staff in each home, taking care of the upstairs and laundry. This person would be responsible for the living room, dining area, kitchen, pantry, and outside logia, Walking, feeding, and sharing dog sitting responsibilities with the other staff is necessary. This very active retired couple is seeking a housekeeper five days per week, from noon until 7:30 p.m. from November to May; May through October this same individual would work ten hours a week maintaining and checking on the Estate. During the Season, ideally, we would like this individual to have Wednesdays and Sundays off. Our previous housekeeper of twelve years is retiring, and there is flexibility within the schedule. Regular routine for housekeeping, laundry and ironing, including deep clean projects to maintain the care of fine finishes and furnishings. They require a minimum of 7 years of Estate Housekeeping references, and they do enjoy simple flavorful food, prepared nicely and served early in the evening when they are home. We are currently interviewing for a live-out executive housekeeper laundress, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm, for a mature couple. This is a year-round position as a second housekeeper in this 20,000 square-foot estate home. The successful candidate must work well as a team member and be able to assist the head housekeeper with washing all household laundry and linen, ironing and steaming fine silks and linens, and pressing sheets, tablecloths, and napkins.
