Very busy family looking for a Butler to work alongside their House Manager, Chef, Housekeeper, and Houseman. This is a 5-day-a-week position, typically from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., primarily focusing on first-class, formal silver service for the principals and their frequent guests. The position is typically Wednesday-Sunday unless the family travels to one of their other properties. They are away about 4 months a year. They do require you to so some travel with them, two weeks at a time, rotating with the other staff members to the Northeast from mid-May to September, where they would provide live-in accommodations on their Estate there. This is a live-out position. They are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years experience as a Butler and they would prefer someone looking for a Career position, and not a job. Serving meals for two to 10 guests is the standard, and maintaining and sourcing wines for the cellar and cataloging would be necessary. Personal shopping and helping to maintain household wardrobes necessary. Experience in packing for both long weekends and two-week excursions is necessary. General Butler’s duties include answering the front door, greeting guests, caring for the household guests and visiting family, and acting as Valet to and from the airport. General household cleaning, including beds, baths, laundry, linen, ironing, and wardrobe care as necessary. Animal care including daily walks. Automotive cleaning and care as necessary.
