We are currently interviewing an experienced Handyman/Caretaker for a large Estate property on Jupiter Island. This is a full-time, year-round, outdoor position, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4 pm with flexibility in the schedule, based on the principles schedule and guests. The Estate Manager is very organized, so there is a complete schedule of duties to ensure that the entire Estate is pristine by providing hands-on maintenance/repairs to each and every corner of the property. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of HVAC, irrigation systems, pool equipment, generators, plumbing, and light electrical. Crestron and Lutron systems are helpful. There are 5 vehicles to fuel daily when the family is in residence, golf carts to clean and charge, trash from the house daily as well as recycling. The guest house, the pool cabana, and all patios and patio furniture need to be cleaned daily and stored properly when not in use. There is window washing done in some areas daily, and cleaning of garages and driveway. There are cleaning schedules for air conditioning vents, electrical outlets, exhaust fans, fire extinguishers, freezers, grills, ice machines, replacing filters and cleaning of coils of appliances, etc. There could be a half dozen weekends during the season that the entire family is visiting, so there could the occasional long week. Must be able to assist indoors with detailed cleaning of artwork, floors, gym equipment, and any other moving parts we won’t list here. Five years experience working at an Estate helpful.
