Housekeeper

This young, organized family of 4 is looking for an Executive Housekeeper to help run their home and manage the other Housekeepers and their schedules while performing detailed, deep-cleaning housekeeping duties herself. Must be familiar with the care of fine furnishings and finishes, and use of the correct products and methods. We need a self-starter with a focused work ethic, capable of directing others with kindness, and working independently while understanding that this is a team effort and ensuring everyone succeeds. Order and maintain household supplies. Looking for someone with a positive, upbeat attitude, with a minimum of 5 consecutive years in an Estate home. This 20,000. sq. ft. home is modern and immaculate and relatively easy to keep that way. This is a year-round position in Palm Beach, with no travel to another home, so there would be ample time for special projects during the family vacations. The position is generally Monday-Friday, 9-5, but with the flexibility when there are the occasional guests or things are running a bit behind schedule. This very civilized couple, who couldn't be nicer, is bringing in a full-time Housekeeper to work with their current Housekeeper of 10 years, as she will be working part-time, five days a week, but will still take care of Mr and Mrs's laundry, bedroom, and bath, the grocery shopping, while the new Housekeeper will do the detailed, deep cleaning of this large home. The position is Monday-Friday, probably 9-5, and they would like someone with excellent long-term references as a Housekeeper, as they would like someone to work with them forever.  They would be many beds when the family comes to visit for the Holidays with the grandchildren, so they are many bedrooms and sheets, bathrooms, and family areas to clean when they leave. The majority of the time it is just Mr. and Mrs. and they like to do for themselves and are really not high maintenance. A very busy family, with young children, is currently looking for a very experienced, efficient Housekeeper maybe 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to come, keep all surfaces clean, help with the bedmaking, washing and ironing the sheets, the bathrooms, washing towels, many towels, and go. this is an informal home, and these are duties they aren't expecting of the nanny. Hours could be 8-4 or it could be Monday-Friday 8-2. Mom is an at-home mom and likes her privacy, but needs a good thorough cleaning. Must have experience, and live in the Jupiter area.

This two-story, 8,000 sq ft modern home is easy to maintain, but it requires someone with attention to detail. The hours are generally 11 am to 7 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. This lovely mature couple is looking to retire their current Housekeeper of 15 years, with someone who is looking for a career position for the next 10 years. They use their residence here about 10 weeks a year as a vacation stop, so generally, the position is Monday-Friday, with the occasional weekend when they may be in town. There are a couple of staff members here in Florida, but they travel with their Chef and a housekeeper, to keep the workload reasonable. This mature couple is looking for a year-round professional Housekeeper for their large Estate home. They Have a full-time Estate Manager of many years who I placed there and another full-time Housekeeper, but they like 7 day a week service, and some days can be long days if they go out for the evening. They bring staff from up north with them and they are generally only here from December to April, and then in the summer, the position is Monday-Friday. There is simple cooking occasionally for Mr. and Mrs., but most meals are catered. It is a very competitive salary, there is medical insurance available, a 401k, paid vacation, sick days, and personal days. Everyone who has worked for them has stayed with them for years. Although Mrs is a bit particular, they are fair and appreciative of honest, hard-working help.  

This mature Palm Beach couple is now living year-round in their 15,000 sq. ft. Estate home and is looking for a Live-in Housekeeper, Wednesday-Sunday, year-round. They do have a full-time Houseman that has been with them for years. Their current Housekeeper has to leave to go to her country, so they are actively interviewing. The home has a separate apartment with a separate entrance once the garage, with a sitting room, kitchen, and private access. The day really doesn't start much before 10 am and there is very simple cooking involved, but they would like someone to help with dinner and finish around 7 pm with a break in the afternoon. The home is full of objects of art, so there is dusting and vacuuming on a regular basis, laundry, ironing, and helping in the kitchen at the end of the day. Mrs. is up and down the stairs all day long, but someone organized and efficient can get all their daily chores done in a timely manner. Salary would be based on experience. This very busy young family with a couple of children in college, is looking for a detailed Housekeeper, Monday- Friday, 9ish -5ish, depending on the traffic to help Mrs. keep up with their 10,000 sq. ft. modern home. There are beds to make, bathrooms to detail, and errands to run. There is ironing, but all the finer articles go out to the dry cleaners. There are two friendly dogs, so there is vacuuming almost daily, but the house is very easy to keep up with and Mrs. is very reasonable after having the same housekeeper for many years before she retired. Someone with simple cooling skills who enjoys being in the kitchen is always welcome. They are very healthy eaters and love fish and salads and things that can be prepared earlier and Mrs. can finish it off at dinner time and clean up herself. They are looking for a long-term person. The salary is negotiable but they are aware of the current rates. These are lovely people and looking for a hardworking, kind person to take over. Excellent references are required.

This mature couple is looking for a Live-in Housekeeper to work full time here in Florida in their 5 bedroom home with their other full-time Housekeeper and then be able to travel mid-May-October to the Hamptons and work there for the summer, with their full-time Housekeeper there. This is a hands-on position, utilizing a policy and procedure manual regarding cleaning expectations and schedules in order to maintain each home at its finest. Laundry and ironing of all washables and linens required, as well as sorting through the drycleaning items. Must be able to set and serve at the table for entertaining. The Chef would help with that, and there is more of that in The Hamptons than in Florida.  Often times meals are served on trays and are very informal. Common sense is everything. Cleaning silver, keeping all glasses in the kitchen and bar polished as well as organizing the pantry, drawers, closets, and powder rooms. The schedule rotates, so you might work the morning shift one week, have your two days off, work the afternoon and evening shift the next week, work the weekend the next week, and have the next weekend off. Not a formal home, but yet...

One of my favorite clients is getting back on track in her 10,000 sq ft home and is looking for someone Monday-Thursday, 8-4, to do deep cleaning in her home. She has a part time lady that does beautiful laundry, and a Houseman to help with the heavier projects. She is meticulous about her home, but very pleasant and reasonable. Must have excellent verifiable references. Her last Housekeeper was there 8 years.
